    As a ZIVARO IT Field Engineer, this candidate will act as a part of the overall engineering team and be deployed to customer locations working on specific long-term customer engagements. In this role, the candidate will be supporting our customers throughout the detailed design, development, integration, test, deployment and/or sustainment of critical IT systems. Candidate may develop deliverable documents and perform document reviews. All projects must be completed with relentless commitment to our customer's requirements and ZIVARO quality standards. 

     

    The IT Field Engineer is responsible for applying our customer's technical processes to design, deploy, diagnose, and document customer IT systems.

    Responsibilities

    • Day-to-day on-site interaction with our customers and becoming a key member of customer program teams.
    • Deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting highly complex network services with little-to-no assistance.
    • Providing clear, concise, and timely communication of projects' status to customers, supervisors, and project managers.
    • Operating under little supervision on large projects; operating independently on small-to-medium projects.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Unwavering commitment to integrity, excellence, and customer requirements.
    • Active SECRET security clearance.
    • Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
    • Current Security+ or IAT Level II equivalent.
    • Highly proficient with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst networking products.
    • Highly proficient with routing and switching technologies such as Dot1X, VLANs, FabricPath, SVI’s, VPNs, HSRP, OSPF, BGP, VRFs and Circuit Provisioning.
    • Highly proficient with Palo Alto Next Generation Firewalls, Panorama, and associated technologies such as logging, security zones, and Layer 7 security policies.
    • Proficient with Tanium server appliance configuration and operations.
    • Proficient with Infoblox server DNS, DHCP, IPAM configuration and operation.
    • Proficient with Splunk server appliance configuration and operations.
    • Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) across a wide range of network devices.
    • 5+ years' experience providing on-site engineering support.
    • Customer-first, customer-always mindset (position may occasionally require non-standard work hours and on-call support).
    • Self-starter with a proven ability to self-educate in a fast-paced, multi-project work environment.
    • Work as a member of team supporting critical IT systems.
    • Ability to effectively engage, and take direction from, program managers, senior engineers and C-level business leaders.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex problems with little-to-no assistance.
    • Accomplish other duties as assigned.

    Preferred:

    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • In-depth knowledge and experience with Windows servers, VMware/Hyper-V virtualization.
    • Familiar with enterprise-level network architecture and technologies.
    • Familiar with Aruba Wireless systems and security components.
    • Familiar deploying cloud and hybrid-cloud solutions using as AWS and Azure.
    • Master's Degree and/or Advance Technical Certification.

    Physical/Mental Demands & Environment:

     

    • Must be able to carry 40 lbs. of equipment.
    • Must be able to stand/work for four or more consecutive hours while carrying laptop during customer projects.
    • Program may require up to 25% travel.

    Education (Minimum Requirments):

    • Bachelors degree in aligning technical field or 5 years equivalent experience.
